Here, it all begins with Morta, a fossilizing oak that has been buried under the Brière marshes for almost 5,000 years. This dark, dense wood, steeped in history, is at the heart of every creation. Extracted locally and processed with the utmost care and respect, it gives rise to unique knives that are elegant, durable and meaningful.

Every year, some 6,000 knives come to life in the workshop. Behind each of them lies a passion for the right gesture, a love of noble materials and a constant search for balance between tradition and contemporary design. Morta handles, with their deep, natural shades, make each piece absolutely unique.

A visit to the workshop is an invitation to plunge into the daily life of the cutlery craftsmen, to discover the stages of production and to better understand this exceptional material, emblematic of the Brière region. An authentic moment, close to the creative process, where you can appreciate the time, patience and precision required to bring each knife to life.

The workshop is open from Monday to Saturday, 10am to 1pm and 2pm to 6pm, for the curious, craft enthusiasts or those in search of an object steeped in history and character.
