The first adventure follows Charles and Juliette, two young explorers heirs of the town’s very first mayor. Along a three-kilometre route, information panels reveal the story behind the places you encounter: the library, the town hall and the Belle Époque villas. You walk, read and learn almost without noticing.
“Following Louis Flornoy’s Footsteps”
The second route takes families through the market district and Pointe du Bé. Along the way, visitors discover façades, architectural details and stories the walls have quietly preserved for more than a century. Children are guided by characters who accompany them throughout the journey.

Third option: this time, head for the deep-sea port. Riddles, observation challenges and hidden clues reveal another side of the harbour and invite visitors into a world of adventure. The fifth trail is a walk through the beautiful wooded district of Sainte-Marguerite, extending all the way to the ocean. At every stop, explorers solve riddles that encourage them to look up, notice the details of the façades and listen to the surrounding natural world.
“Spellbound in Brière”
The final trail is part of a wider saga of mystery adventures spread across the entire Brière Regional Natural Park. This chapter takes place in Pornichet. A witch has cast a spell over Brière, transforming every animal into fantastic creatures. Lucien, a magician and protector of nature, sets out to break the spell. Will you be able to help him on his quest ?
For those who prefer exploring without digital tools, an investigation game invites visitors to travel back in time through the railway station district, once known as Pornichet-les-Pins. The activity booklet is free — simply collect it at the Tourist Office desk before setting off on your adventure.
Captain Cavaro’s Treasure: a heritage treasure hunt
Smugglers once built up a hidden fortune trafficking Pornichet salt. Can the children uncover where the treasure is hidden? For around 1 hour and 15 minutes, the walking route takes young adventurers from one puzzle to the next while exploring Pornichet’s heritage. They decode clues, observe details, piece together the town’s story — and at the end, every participant receives a share of the treasure.
The activity takes place every Tuesday during school holidays (except Christmas). Times vary depending on the season: mornings during summer and early afternoon during other holiday periods. Booking is available online through the Tourist Office website.
