Arriving at Valdys Resort, letting yourself unwind
The moment you step into the treatment room, something begins releasing immediately. The lighting is soft, gentle music drifts through the air, and the heated mattress on the massage table wraps you in warmth. In winter especially, it is the kind of warmth you do not expect. It settles gently, like a blanket placed over your shoulders before the treatment has even begun.
You lie down. You close your eyes. Nothing has happened yet, and somehow everyday life already feels a little further away.

Head Spa at Valdys: four stages guided by hands and water
The treatment begins with Shirotchampi, an ancient Indian ritual. In practice, expert hands move slowly across the scalp using deep, deliberate pressure. The tension hidden there — the kind you barely notice anymore — gradually releases, one layer at a time. You feel your shoulders drop, your jaws soften.
Then comes the shampoo. Everyone knows that moment at the hairdresser when you secretly wish the scalp massage would last a little longer. Here, it does. It stretches on. And above all, it ends with something unexpected: the water-ring rinse. A circular hydro-massage flow surrounds the head in a continuous, gentle stream. The sensation is difficult to explain. You feel it everywhere and nowhere at once, as though the water somehow knows exactly where it needs to go.
The treatment continues with a facial massage, slowly moving across the forehead, temples and jawline. Every area softens like a knot quietly unravelling. To finish, a cloud of warm steam envelops the face for several minutes. You breathe slowly. Thoughts are vanishing.
When you finally stand up, it feels strangely as though you are floating slightly above the ground. Movements feel slower, your gaze softer. You feel as though you have slipped into another state — without quite knowing when it happened.
