Just a few kilometers from Pornichet, EOL Centre éolien offers an original and accessible introduction to offshore wind power. The first site in France entirely dedicated to this theme, the site invites visitors to trace the history of energy, from the first windmills to today's marine wind turbines.

The tour unfolds freely, along an immersive, interactive path. Experiment, manipulate and test. Blowing, pedaling, observing: each device provides a better understanding of how wind becomes electricity, and of the principles of offshore energy production. The approach is deliberately educational, designed to appeal to all ages and levels of knowledge.

The tour highlights the major stages in the development of technologies, as well as the know-how involved in offshore wind energy today. The tour is punctuated by models, animations and playful devices, making the concepts concrete and comprehensible. The visit lasts around 45 minutes, and can easily be integrated into a day's visit to Saint-Nazaire or the coast.

Visits take place at set times, and reservations are recommended to ensure a smooth experience. The self-guided approach allows visitors to proceed at their own pace, to linger on subjects that interest them and to take the time to understand.
