From April to October, Saint-Nazaire tells its own story through guided tours, guided walks and participatory proposals. Accompanied by a guide, visitors are invited to take another look at an often little-known town, whose singular history spans the XXᵉ century and continues to shape its identity.
The tours on offer explore the secrets of Nazaire's heritage: reconstruction architecture, port heritage, the memory of the Second World War, great industrial adventures and openness to the world. Each tour highlights the city's contrasts, between monumental concrete and maritime horizon, between marked past and cultural renewal.
Guided tours allow visitors to explore the city's neighborhoods, understand their evolution and listen to the stories behind them. Some of the tours also invite participation, encouraging discussion and collective reflection on the history, uses and future of the city.
Accessible to all, these tours are aimed at the curious as well as history and heritage enthusiasts. They offer keys to a better understanding of Saint-Nazaire, its resilient character and its close relationship with the estuary and ocean.
This guided tour is the perfect complement to a stay in Pornichet. It enriches the visitor's experience of the area by exploring a neighboring town with an extraordinary destiny, just a few kilometers from the coast, where memory, architecture and harbor landscapes come together.
