The Dreams of Hypnos

For the duration of a concert, Baroque music opens the door to a world of sensation where dreams, the night, and emotions come to life through voices and instruments.

With this program centered on dreams, the Barok en Stock ensemble performs works inspired by the imagination that fueled great French composers such as Lully, Marais, and Rameau. Arias drawn from their operas interact with Vivaldi’s *La Notte*, an evocative concerto performed on the flute by a young soloist. Performed by three singers and the ensemble’s musicians, the works alternate between moments of calm, contemplative passages, and more impassioned outbursts.

As the concert unfolds, gentleness gradually gives way to intensity and instrumental virtuosity, offering a vibrant and richly contrasting musical experience. An invitation to slow down, listen, and let yourself be carried away by the colors of the Baroque.
