At the tip of the Guérande peninsula, facing the ocean, the Océarium du Croisic takes visitors on a journey through the world's great seas. The Atlantic, Indian, Pacific and Mediterranean Oceans follow one another as the tour progresses, offering a gradual insight into the diversity of marine environments and their inhabitants.
The tour leads from port of call to port of call, revealing a variety of life forms, brilliant colors and sometimes little-known species. More than 4,000 specimens live in the various basins, allowing visitors to observe tropical fish, sharks, turtles and penguins in carefully reconstituted environments.
The visit is punctuated by a number of highlights. A new immersive room takes visitors on a 360° journey to the heart of the oceans, thanks to an enveloping scenography. Throughout the day, the visit is enhanced by events such as penguin meals, shark and turtle presentations, all of which help visitors better understand the behavior and needs of marine species.
The Océarium is designed to welcome all types of visitors, with stroller access and family-friendly facilities such as changing tables and microwaves. The tour can be followed at anyone's pace, alternating between observation, learning and breaks.
A visit to the Océarium du Croisic is the perfect complement to a stay in Pornichet. It allows you to deepen your relationship with the marine environment, extending your discovery of the coastline with a sensitive immersion in the underwater world, just a few kilometers from the coast.
