In December, the atmosphere shifts completely
Pornichet dresses itself in festive lights, Christmas markets appear and the magic of the holiday season fills the town. As darkness falls, the entire town naturally drifts toward the seafront. The Christmas fireworks display becomes the grand finale of a day filled with celebration. Cycling is one of the easiest ways to avoid late-evening traffic. Bike racks are available along the seafront boulevard and throughout town. Do not forget a lock and lights for the ride back.
It is best to anticipate crowds by arriving early and parking slightly farther away if necessary. The walk to the beach becomes part of the experience, especially during warm summer evenings. On the way back, patience helps — traffic clears gradually.
Fireworks may be joyful for us, but they can create intense stress for our four-legged companions.
