Café du Quai: Theatre and musical entertainment

Two plays, two worlds, one stage: let yourself be swept away by theatrical performances that promise emotion, laughter, and surprises!

The Compagnie Théâtrale de l'Océan presents two theatrical performances at the Café du Quai on April 29th: the comedies "The Fox and the Frog" by Sacha Guitry and "The Bear" by Anton Chekhov. These will be followed by musical entertainment provided by Café du Quai volunteers.

Program

- From 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM: Theatrical performances

• "The Fox and the Frog" by Sacha Guitry

Two friends with loose morals (Rosy and Jeannette) discuss their conquests over a cup of tea. When Lucien, Rosy's very wealthy and generous lover, proposes marriage under the community property regime, she overjoyedly accepts, unaware that her lover is nearly ruined.

• "The Bear" by Anton Chekhov

Mrs. Popova, widowed for nine months, is unable to overcome her grief and constantly laments before the portrait of her deceased husband. When Smirnov, an artillery lieutenant and landowner, comes to collect a debt owed by her late husband, she demands to know the reason. The discussion quickly degenerates into heated and bitter exchanges.

- From 7:15 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.: Musical entertainment with volunteers from Café du Quai

• 7:15 p.m.: Shabada game,
• 8:00 p.m.: Jukebox happy hour.
