How and why is water so important on Earth?
For humanity, water is a precious commodity, generally considered the prerequisite for the appearance of life and essential to our survival. Born from the marriage of two gases, hydrogen and oxygen, its properties are remarkable in every way. Astronomers, with their sophisticated telescopes and probes, are making discovery after discovery about it due to its existence on planets other than ours. Jacques Barbot's purpose will be to examine its properties, then to see current estimates of the existence of water on planets (at least those in the solar system), and finally, above all, its importance for the maintenance of life on Earth and its whims in its participation in the climate disruption that everyone is talking about...?
