For humanity, water is a precious commodity, generally considered the prerequisite for the appearance of life and essential to our survival. Born from the marriage of two gases, hydrogen and oxygen, its properties are remarkable in every way. Astronomers, with their sophisticated telescopes and probes, are making discovery after discovery about it due to its existence on planets other than ours.
