LA Pornichet Select 6.50
The first event of the season for the Mini 6.50 Class, LA Pornichet Select, returns from April 29th to May 5th!
For 25 years, LA Pornichet Select, a Mini 6.50 race (6.50-meter monohull sailboats), has been a key event on the Mini Class calendar. Part of the French Solo Offshore Racing Championship, this consistently successful annual event serves as a qualifier for the next Mini Transat.
Sailed solo, starting and finishing in Pornichet, LA Pornichet Select 6.50 takes competitors to Birvideaux, Les Sables d'Olonne, rounding the Nouch Sud buoy, then Groix, before returning to the Bay of Pouliguen.
The 25th edition of LA Pornichet Select will take place from April 29th to May 5th.
On the program for the general public
Wednesday, April 29
- 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. - Arrival of the boats
- 5 p.m. - Official opening of the village
- 8 p.m. - Concert - Come and rock out to the sounds of the band Vertical
Friday, May 1
- 3 p.m. - Demonstration and use of the SNSM life raft
Saturday, May 2
- 10 a.m. - Departure of the fleet
- 1 p.m. - Start of the Pornichet Select 6.50
Sunday, May 3 and Monday, May 4
Sunday evening to Monday evening - Arrival of competitors depending on weather conditions
Tuesday, May 5
- 12 p.m. - Announcement of results and awards ceremony
