Air Show: "Pornichet Plein Vol"
This Saturday, August 23, 2025, head to the Pornichet air show! The 5th edition of Pornichet Plein Vol takes place on the Plage des Libraires and promises 1.5 hours of thrilling aerial displays, featuring legendary aircraft, top-level aerobatics, parachute jumps, and spectacular stunts. This airborne ballet celebrates the excellence of the French military and guarantees unforgettable family moments. Loops, rolls, spins and more — fasten your seatbelts, the skies of Pornichet are about to dazzle!
Program Highlights
With your feet in the sand and eyes to the sky, enjoy a breathtaking show presented by some of the finest names in French aviation. This year’s lineup includes:

High-level aerobatics by the Patrouille Condors Aciers aboard the legendary CAP 10 planes

A rare appearance of the ATL2, one of the few aircraft in the world designed specifically for anti-submarine warfare

The iconic Dauphin helicopter, used for sea rescue and high-risk operations (winching, anti-trafficking, etc.)

The Aerobatic Team of the French Air and Space Force, with gyroscopic maneuvers and colorful smoke trails

An impressive demonstration by the A400M, the military transport aircraft known for its tactical power

The Phénix parachute team, combining canopy formations and synchronized jumps above the bay

And the grand finale by the world-renowned Patrouille de France (PAF) flying the tricolor Alphajets in signature formations.
A lively aviation village will be set up on Place des Océanes, open from 1:30 p.m. Explore stands dedicated to aviation and aerospace to discover the behind-the-scenes world of flight. Shops and seafront restaurants will be open all day.

Practical Information
When is the air show?
Saturday, August 23, 2025. Aerial display: 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Animation village: opens at 1:30 p.m.
Where is the event held?
On the Plage des Libraires, right in front of the Casino — eyes to the sky!
How to access Pornichet Plein Vol?
The Boulevard des Océanides and some nearby streets will be closed to traffic, and parking will be prohibited. We recommend choosing soft modes of transport: on foot (just 5 minutes from the town hall) or by bike (bike parking available onsite).
If driving, arrive early and park in one of the designated lots: Place du Marché, Hippodrome, Parking du 8 Mai, or Quai des Arts. A free shuttle will run between parking areas and the town center until 10 p.m. (More info at YCEO.fr) 🚌
Can I bring a backpack?
Due to security measures (Vigipirate Plan), bag checks will be in place. Glass, sharp objects, alcoholic beverages, bicycles, and scooters are prohibited.
Arrive early to ensure smooth access and a good viewing spot!
Is entry free?
Yes, the event is completely free.
Accessibility for PRMs?
Yes, the entire seafront area is accessible to persons with reduced mobility.
Can I bring my dog?
No. Dogs are not allowed on the beach, even on a leash.
Can I swim or sail in the airshow area?
No. Swimming and boating are strictly prohibited in the flight zone.
